Our Story

My name is Corey, and I’m the founder and CEO of Turbo-Guard—established in 2008, built for performance-driven people like you.

Turbo-Guard started with a problem. I was modifying my 1986 Fox Body Mustang with a 76mm turbo that faced the inner fender. There was no room for a traditional cone filter, and after hours of searching, I realized: no one made a real solution. Like any gearhead who refuses to settle, I built one myself.

At the time, I was working full-time at Coca-Cola, raising a child with my wife, who stayed home to care for them. We were living paycheck to paycheck. I remember clearly—checking the bills to see if we could even afford Burger King. To keep us afloat, I ran a lawn care business and another side hustle online, but neither gained real traction.

Then, I listed one of my homemade turbo screens on eBay. It sold within two hours. I relisted—sold again. That was the moment I knew I was onto something real. From there I went all in. 

What followed was nearly a decade of nonstop hustle. I woke at 3 a.m. for Coca-Cola, got home around 3 p.m., then worked on Turbo-Guard late into the night. My dad helped form screens and powder coat parts. My mom put stickers on clamps. My wife packed orders with me. My walk in closet was my work area and our kitchen oven was our curing station. We made 10–20 units a week—and every one of them helped change our future.

In 2016, after 13 years at Coca-Cola, I took a leap of faith and left to focus on Turbo-Guard full time. In 2021, my father passed away from brain cancer. That loss pushed me to grow. I hired my first employee—my brother-in-law. We’ve been side-by-side ever since, producing the most badass, high-quality turbo guards on the planet.
